I apologize for the lack of updates on Twitter and Tumblr lately, and for this update being posted later than planned. As I mentioned on Tumblr, I’m in the middle of defending my Thesis. This process takes about 2 months to complete, from actually writing the document (mine was 164 pages long), to submitting it, getting it reviewed, officially publishing it, then defending everything. I have a date set for my defense, in early July, at which point I’m officially a Ph.D.
That takes quite a lot of work, as you can imagine, and I’ve naturally been focusing on this for most of May and June. Thankfully, things will be back to normal, updates and all, in the second week of July. So, without further ado, I’ll give you a news update.
We’re still hard at work, obviously, and OpalEyes-Angel has now moved on to working on a Brian Austin Green (a.k.a. Derek Reese) model. And we’re almost done an audio track for you to listen too. What’s holding us up, in terms of a real video, is a dedicated animator. We’ve got all the models, textures, and voice lines needed for several Episode 1 scenes, we just need to find someone to actually animate it for us (and we’re actively looking for such a person).
We’ve also cast 2 of our voice roles. Melissa Morgan is joining us to provide the voices of several female characters, such as a Newscaster in Episode 4 and other small roles. We’ve also cast Brad Watts as General Martin Bedell, whom you’ll see in Episode 6 for the first time. In addition, a writer has joined us from Stage32, Darren Seeley, to write episode 8 for us since The Crusader and myself have our hands full at the moment.
Stay tuned for a bigger update next week, guys. Again, apologies for the delay.
